Best wishes. Thanks for dropping in. My name's Garrick(aka DJ Doctor G). I'm 38 years of age, a London, ON native, and a resident of Toronto, Canada. I'm a graduate of the "Media Communications" & "Broadcast Radio"program at Seneca College. I am also the weekend In-Store DJ for Roots Canada (Toronto Eaton Centre - Yonge & Dundas). I'm also the On Air Producer for Toronto's radio station 104.5 CHUM FM CTV Ltd. Some information about myself. As a child growing in the 1970s and 80s, I was influenced by a diverse cultural environment. Having done this, it allowed me to grow with an enthusiam for music. My love of music had led me to appear as a DJ in some of Toronto's hot spots. Disc Jockeys and radio hosts who inspire me; DJ Tom Hall, DJ Starting from Scratch, Carlo "DJ C-Lo" Magnaye, Darren Osborne of 98.1 CHFI, Dick Clark, Casey Kasem and the great voices; Don Fontaine & Shadoe Stevens. My accomplishments have included guest appearances at the "Stella Artois Draft Pouring Competitions", "Toronto Pride Events", the Harry Potter book 7 opening held at Indigo Books and Music, autograph signings at Chapters Festival Hall, featuring popular names as Brett "Hitman" Hart, and the Trailer Park Boys. When it comes to DJ'ing, I enjoy playing everything from "Today's Hit Music", to the 70s,80s,and 90s. I also listen to "Club Hits", "Old School Jams", "Classic House", "Jukebox Favorites","Classic Rock", "Jazz", "Cuban", "Classic Soul/Motown, Bhangra, and "Lite Favorites". I am big on entertainment value. No matter where I'm playing, I always look at my demographics. My clients are the show. It's important to me that they're having a great time.
