Coalition began at underground warehouse jams and house parties in the late 90s, and developed into a collective of Toronto’s best downtempo, dub, soul and rare-groove DJs.

Coalition was approached by System Soundbar and offered the opportunity to foster the downtempo scene in Toronto with a weekly Wednesday social event focused on showcasing the vast resource of talented and artistic individuals within the local and international downtempo community.

Held down by resident DJs Symetry and AriA our weekly events focus on showcasing talented and unique DJs, producers, and visual/environmental artists both local and international. With monthly label showcases, and a rotating stable of world-class local artists Coalition offers an ever-changing musical and environmental experience. Over the coming months we will also feature CD release parties, art openings, wine tastings, and live painting just to get started.

Every Thursday join us for SUPERFUNK, Toronto’s #1 College and University night. We have three different rooms giving you a choice of R&B and Hip Hop in the main room, Old Skool in the back lounge, or Classic house and Soul in the VIP. The theme of the night is MAYHEM! From our System money & the wild contests, to surprise guest performers like Kardinal Offishal, come and experience why people are saying SUPERFUNK Thursdays has taken student nights in Toronto to the next level.

One spectacular Friday after the next...Breathe has managed to introduce more talent to the city of Toronto than any other promoter in the history of the city (including 56 different international guests and 27 debuts...and still counting). Originally begun as a progressive house night...Breathe managed to survive and thrive as the only weekly prog-house event in North America and one of the most successfull and internationally-regarding clubnights in the entire world receiving multiple write-ups in American and UK-based dance music magazines, numerous mentions on UK and US radio shows and even managing to have two resident DJs at the time heralded as "People to Watch in 2002" in DJ Magazine. Now, having educated an entire scene on the fundamentals and variables of progressive house, Breathe has widend it's scope to include quality artists from other genres including techno and trance. Where do we go from here? You'll have to party along with us to discover what the future holds...

Now that the New Year is on the horizon, We would like to introduce a new dawn in Toronto urban underground events and production that is going to change the face of Drum and Bass and Hip Hop taking it to the next level. LOADED SATURDAYS will feature for the very first time in Canada a weekly Drum and Bass experience in the main room of a major nightclub in the Downtown Club district. We have gathered together some of the best promotion teams in the city including THEORY, HUSTLIN BEATS, FOUNDATION, LOOSE, JUNGLE BASS, FRONT LEFT, EMPIRE & KEEP SIX along with the industry leaders and the best of the next generation. With a brand new fully 'LOADED' sound system along with continously changing decor and the best talent from around the globe week in and week out LOADED SATURDAYS promises to raise the bar for Toronto events.
