Drake Hotel in Toronto submitted Description
Drake Dining Room
Drake knows good Food + Wine. Our free-spirited menu includes lovingly concocted international cuisine and reinterpreted classics. Executive Chef Anthony Rose + Chef de Cuisine Darren Glew present unique menus culled from their combined talents. Back from eight years in the food Meccas of New York and San Francisco, Anthony brings his passion for classic, simple and ingredient driven food.
Drak Hotel Raw Bar
Park yourself on a red leather uphostered stool and fall for Drake's daily raw delights. The Raw Bar takes you through a time warp: Think Berlin art salon of the 1920s infused with a modern twist. Here, Drake is serving up innovative sushi rolls, freshly cut sashimi, just shucked oysters, house cured charcuterie and vintage charm; set out on a copper topped bar that offers friendly banter, popular intrigue and fine bourbon.
Drake Hotel Undergrond
The Drake Underground is one of the most flexible and original venues in Toronto. The space has welcomed performances by major darlings of the indie music scene and has hosted some of the cities most memorable performance artists, cocktail parties, launches and fashion shows.
Drake's entertainment space has been designed with one thing in mind: creative flexibility. This spacious venue features a modular stage, digital projectors, screens, dance floor lighting, personal computers and state of the art 5.1 Surround Sound PA system manned by experienced technical staff.
The underground is a cutting edge venue for a crowd that is ahead of the curve. Over the last 4 years, the Underground has rolled out the carpet for legends Carole Pope, Beck, Burton Cummings and Negativland, rubbed shoulders with local rock royalty Broken Social Scene, Peaches, Metric + Stars, and shone with rising stars Gogol Bordello, Living Things, The Killers, Wolfmother, MIA, KT Tunstall + We Are Wolves.
Drake Hotel Lounge
Drake’s signature room re-introduces a bygone era, the Mid Century lounge experience; where sultry music complimented, rather than dominated the environment and classic cocktailing was worth dressing up for. Come hear DrakeClassic, our nightly live music series, or an inspired DJ later in the evening, and feel the mood for yourself.
Overlooking Queen Street West, the Lounge is a destination all its own. Recently remodeled, new additions include leather booths, tufted bar fronts, red velvet banquettes and curtains, custom-made mica chandeliers, marble table tops, and two massive, luscious, Dutch Baroque influenced murals by Toronto artist Joe Becker.
We invite you to unwind after work, relax before dinner or ‘dress the part’ for an evening out that stretches into the wee hours. All the while, share some tantalizing appetizers and sip on a ‘seven hour’ martini with old friends and new. You’ll be glad you did!
